Pace acquires Fairway Laboratories, Inc.
Pace announced the acquisition of Fairway Laboratories, Inc. (Fairway), a full-service environmental laboratory with its primary location in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Fairway also has laboratories in DuBois, Erie, and Wysox, PA. The acquisition of Fairway expands the Pace footprint considerably in the PA marketplace. Fairway provides a full range of certified drinking water, soil, waste, and sludge testing. Specialty services include testing of underground storage tanks, frozen desserts, public swimming pools, and for the Marcellus Shale industry. Pace indicates a continued growth in the need for testing services as a result of increased regulatory requirements and further indicates increased demands for testing for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
