Sampling Plan Development and Implementation
Obtaining defensible data from field sampling operations is a critical first step in any type of environmental impact assessment. Unnecessary costs and delays can occur when a field sampling effort produces unrepresentative and invalid data.  The Environmental Standards Chemistry and Geosciences Departments work together to prepare and review Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs).  A SAP must document the location and type of each sample, the correct sampling and analysis methods, and the proper number of QC samples to be included in the investigation in order to meet the project data quality objectives (DQOs).

Database Management
Environmental Standards has solutions to help clients take advantage of the power of a centralized data management system without a heavy investment of capital and personnel. Our services include:

  • Web-Based Environmental Information Services
  • Custom Software Development
  • Database Design and Development
  • Data Management Systems Auditing

Visualization and Modeling of the Contaminant Plumes
Sediment projects typically generate a large amount of data.  A 3-D sediment model integrates data from a wide variety of sources including databases of analytical results, site Autocad maps, GIS shape file layers, and site aerial photography or satellite images.  Constituents of concern can be graphically displayed as 3-D sampling locations, 3-D sediment volumes, and 3-D kriged geological surfaces.  The resulting model is a tremendous asset relative to evaluating and comprehending the data, thereby ensuring a project’s economic success.
