IAQ/mold assessment
Environmental Standards personnel are certified by the American Indoor Air Quality Council (AmIAQC) and perform inspections and investigations for chemical, mold, and bacterial contamination. There are few regulations governing IAQ, but the US EPA, NIOSH, New York City Department of Health, and the US Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have taken steps to issue guidance for preventing, identifying, and correcting IAQ problems. Our trained professionals understand existing guidelines and consistently follow published recommendations to develop a scientifically sound approach to address each client’s unique situation.

Environmental Standards’ Services include:

We use state-of-the-art equipment when sampling for indoor air contaminants. Rigid quality assurance guidelines are followed to ensure that the data collected are reliable and defensible. Environmental Standards utilizes laboratories that participate in the Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP) and in the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) or that are American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) certified to provide chemical and biological analytical services. We refer only certified remediation contractors.

Environmental Standards does not perform IAQ or mold remediation activities and therefore, has no financial interest in the outcome of an IAQ or mold inspection or investigation. If remediation is warranted, Environmental Standards can refer a certified remediation contractor, can objectively assist in the review of remediation plans, or provide oversight services on a client’s behalf.  Environmental Standards meets clients’ needs with practical solutions.
